Health and fitness coach for women in rural areas
Find Your FITT
Online health and fitness coaching for rural women that gets you moving more and feeling stronger, healthier and more confident in your body with supporting programs, guidance and tools
What is Find Your FITT
Find Your FITT is online health and fitness coaching for rural women, with 12-week programs, 1-2-1 support and free weekly strength and stretch sessions that fit daily life.
Every woman deserves to feel strong and comfortable in her own body, yet for many rural women, this kind of support is hard to reach. Distance, busy days and limited local services can make it hard to know where to start.
You can join from home in a twelve-week program, work one-to-one, join a free weekly fitness session or use a self-paced course. The coaching focuses on sustainable fitness, simple, healthy eating habits, stress and sleep awareness, and support through menopause, so you can move with more comfort, manage weight changes, and feel better through the shifts that come with ageing.
Meet Michelle, your health & fitness coach
Hi, I am Michelle, a former Kaniva local who understands what life looks like in a rural community because I have lived it myself. I have worked in fitness since 1994 and now support rural women as a health coach, personal trainer and educator.
I created Find Your FITT to bring simple, realistic fitness and health support to rural women juggling the unpredictable long days of family and work, with limited facilities and little time left for themselves.
I care about helping women feel more comfortable and confident in their bodies so they can do more of the things they love, for longer.

Health coaching for your 40s, 50s and 60s
Your body changes as you move through midlife; that’s natural. What’s not natural is doing it without support. Find Your FITT offers practical, age-appropriate coaching to help you stay strong, mobile, and confident at every stage.
Fitness over 40
You’re juggling work, family, and community while noticing early shifts, energy dips, a metabolism that’s slowing down, and strength that doesn’t bounce back like it used to. Fitness over 40 is about building sustainable habits now. We focus on core strength, consistent movement, and simple routines that protect your body for the years ahead, not just today.
Fitness over 50
Menopause, joint stiffness, and unexpected aches can make you second-guess your movements. But this is when staying active matters most. Gentle strength work, targeted mobility, and balance training help you move with less pain and more ease. With health coaching in your 50s, you’ll learn what your body needs now, not what worked ten years ago.
Fitness over 60
From farm work, keeping up with grandchildren, or staying independent in your community, you want to keep doing what you love without paying for it the next day. Fitness in your 60s is about safe movement patterns, daily strength habits, and practical exercises that help you maintain confidence, reduce soreness, and enjoy life without feeling limited by your age.
Simple strength work
Resistance training for women
Many women are told to keep moving, but not always how to move in ways that actually support their bodies. Resistance training for women can be gentle but functional and practical. It doesn’t have to mean heavy weights or complex routines. Simple strength work can help protect joints, support bone health, and make everyday tasks feel easier.
- Uses movement patterns you can do at home with basic equipment or body weight
- Focuses on posture, balance and daily comfort, not gym performance
gentle, consistent movement
Exercise and menopause
Menopause can bring changes in weight, sleep, mood, and joint comfort, and it can be hard to know what kind of exercise is safe and helpful. Here’s the thing: gentle, consistent movement can ease many menopausal symptoms, improve strength, and support mental wellbeing, especially when guided by someone who understands this stage of life.
- Focuses on gentle functional strength, mobility and balance to support changing joints and muscles
- Helps with energy, mood and daily comfort

Frequently asked questions about health coaching for rural women
What is Find Your FITT?
Find Your FITT is online health and fitness coaching for rural women, with 12 week programs, 1 to 1 support and free weekly fitness strength and stretch sessions that fit daily life.
Who is Find Your FITT for?
Find Your FITT is for rural and regional women who want to feel stronger and more comfortable in their bodies without having to travel far for support. Many women who join are in their 40s, 50s, or 60s and are dealing with stiffness, weight changes, low energy, or menopause symptoms.
Do I need to be fit before I start?
Absolutely not. Many women begin after a long break from exercise or with very low confidence in their movement. The steps are gentle and simple, and you can move at a pace that feels safe for your body.
What equipment do I need?
You don’t need a gym or special gear. Most movements can be done with your own bodyweight and minimal space at home. Sometimes a chair, a mat, resistance bands or light weights like tins or bottles are helpful, and you’ll be guided on what to use.
How are the sessions delivered?
Most coaching is delivered online, so you can join from home using a phone, tablet, or computer. Some communities may also host sessions in local spaces.
What's the difference between the small group program and the self-guided program?
The 12-week small group coaching program includes weekly live online sessions, group check-ins, and space to share ideas with other rural women. The 12-week self-guided program gives you short lessons and a weekly workbook to follow in your own time—with clear steps and a calm structure.
Is this suitable if I have pain, injury, or menopause symptoms?
Many women have joint pain, past injuries, or changes linked to menopause. The focus is on gentle strength, safe movement, and mobility that supports daily comfort. You’ll always be encouraged to work within your limits, and you must be cleared for exercise to participate in the free online Strength and Stretch session.
What if I miss a session?
Life in rural areas can be busy and unpredictable. If you miss a live session, you can watch the session recording, still follow the weekly steps in your workbook and stay in touch for guidance. The aim is steady progress over time, not perfection.
How do I get started?
You can choose a 12-week program, 1-2-1 coaching, or a free weekly fitness session, then follow the booking link to secure your place. If you’re unsure which option is right for you, reach out—we can talk it through first.
