Find Your FITT exists so rural women can get health and fitness support without leaving their home. It is an online health and fitness coaching service that helps women build strength, move with more comfort, manage weight changes and feel better through menopause, in a way that fits everyday life.
The idea behind Find Your FITT
Find Your FITT began with a simple belief. Every woman deserves to feel strong and comfortable in her own body.
For many women living in a rural community, that kind of support is hard to reach. Local health services are limited, specialist professionals are often far away, and long drives to appointments are common. Social isolation and busy days filled with work, family and community commitments make it easy for personal health to slip to the bottom of the list.
Find Your FITT was created to change that, and bring simple, realistic fitness and health support to rural women juggling the unpredictable long days of family and work, with limited facilities and little time left for themselves.
Meet Michelle, founder of Find Your FITT and your health coach
Hi, I am Michelle, a former Kaniva local who understands what life in a rural community looks like because I have lived it myself. I have worked in fitness since 1994 and now support rural women as a health coach, personal trainer and educator.
I am a qualified Level 3 health and wellness coach, a qualified personal trainer and a current educator at TAFE SA, where I have taught Certificate III and IV in Fitness for the last twenty five years. I still have strong ties to the Kaniva community and a deep passion for improving the health and wellbeing of rural communities. I am committed to finding out what each community needs and working with local people to support real health outcomes.
I created Find Your FITT to bring simple, realistic fitness and health support to women who juggle family and work, with days shaped by long drives and little time left for themselves. You can get support from home in small pockets of time that fit around everything else you do. I care about helping women feel more comfortable in their bodies so they can do more of the things they love, for longer.
What Find Your FITT offers
Find Your FITT provides several ways for women in rural communities to get support, depending on what feels right at the time.
- One-on-one health and fitness coaching sessions online
- Twelve-week health and fitness programs for women, with a small group coaching option and a self-paced online option
- A free weekly online strength and stretch session that women can join from home
- The possibility to access a free community workshop in local halls, clinics or workplaces when your community, business or health care clinic sign up for a program package.
- Community partnerships with councils, health services and local employers to support women’s health in rural towns
Who Find Your FITT supports
Find Your FITT focuses on women who live in rural and regional communities rather than big cities. Many women who join are in their forties, fifties or sixties and notice changes such as
- Weight gain that is hard to shift
- Aching joints, stiffness and tiredness
- Reduced strength for everyday tasks
- Menopause symptoms that affect sleep, mood and comfort
- Long days with very little time left for themselves
The Find Your FITT approach
Fitness that fits your life
Movement plans that fit around your real week. Short practical steps are easier to keep going than big changes that do not last.
Whole person focus
Support looks at movement, food, sleep, stress, hormones, pain and daily routines together. You are more than a number on a scale.
Evidence informed guidance
Coaching draws on current health and fitness knowledge, including Eat for Health nutrition guidelines, strength and balance work for healthy ageing and safe approaches during menopause.
Kind accountability
Check-ins and coaching calls are honest but kind. You are encouraged to notice wins, learn from setbacks and keep going at a pace that respects your responsibilities.
Rural aware support
Long distances, seasonal work, caring roles and social ties in small rural communities all affect how health changes feel. Find Your FITT takes these realities into account instead of expecting city based patterns and accessibility.
Community partnerships

Find Your FITT also works with councils, health services and local businesses that want to support women’s health in their town. The program responds directly to the needs of rural women who face unique barriers to health services, including limited availability of local professionals, long travel times to appointments and social isolation.
By addressing chronic health concerns such as weight gain, joint pain and menopause symptoms, which often go unaddressed due to inaccessibility, Find Your FITT helps women take consistent, proactive steps toward better health. One-to-one coaching, small-group learning, optional fitness classes, written fitness programs, and nutritional guidelines all work together to increase motivation, build confidence, and create a safe space for rural women to connect, share, and support one another.

Towns that have little or no access to fitness and health coaching gain practical, ongoing support that did not exist before.
Sustainability and growth
The first programs in places like Kaniva create a foundation for ongoing health and wellness coaching in rural communities. The aim is to gradually roll out support to other rural towns as interest and capacity grow.
